Mr Buckland is a Consultant Ear, Nose and
Throat Surgeon to the Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth and St Richards Hospital,
Chichester.
He qualified in Medicine in1994 from the
University of Birmingham. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and holds the Certificate
of Completion of Specialist training in Otolaryngology. He is registered with the GMC as a Specialist ENT
surgeon.
His postgraduate training was
gained at the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital in London and the Wessex Specialist
Training Programme. He also undertook further specialist training as a visiting physician at the world
famous 'House Ear Institute' in Los Angeles.
He treats general Ear Nose and
Throat conditions and has a subspecialty interest in Otology. He undertakes all specialist ear operations
including, Bone anchored hearing aid (BAHA), complex ossiculoplasty, stapes surgery and 'combined-approach'
mastoid surgery.
Mr Buckland leads the Clinical Audit activity at the Queen
Alexandra Hospital and is also actively involved in the training/teaching of surgical trainees.
